Stars in their eyes.

It may be a little silly, but it makes me very happy (and a little proud) whenever I see someone mentioning having watched Joe's episodes of Sisters, First Monday, Man Made etc and even better when it inspires all this fabulous fiction. They may not be great shows, but it's Joe and, yeah, that's why it was worth tracking them down. Some of them were a real bitch to find! But, it's so cool to see it spread. Also, my point is, if there's ever any problem finding this stuff, remember that I have the 'original' DVDs in my possession. All safe. *g*

I could never go to a con, I've realised a long while, I'd be in a constant state of embarrassement. I may be all about squeeing and enabling fandom here, but I also feel rather uncomfortable confronting the actual subjects with it. Because fandom and the actual celebrities don't always mesh, and shouldn't, mostly. People have a tendency to objectify their idols. And there always seem to be people who really can't separate fiction from reality, people who somehow feel an intense need to make a very lasting impression on their idol. No matter how. It's a little scary. However, I think it SHOULD be OK to discuss homoerotic subtext in shows in public, even with the stars. The problem isn't the topic, as I see it (even though it obviously IS a problem for some), but rather WHY some fans bring it up. They WANT to embarrass them. They want to be remembered. They want them to say something 'amusing'. All the while making it impossible to bring up the topic of subtext in an intelligent manner. It's sad.

But Jensen's still a pretty little thing. I take back what I said about his beard, because this ain't no mountain man beard, this is a carefully groomed little goatee.

Also, randomly, I'm rewatching season 1 of SPN on DVD and I've come to the conclusion that Dean looked the best overall in the episode Home.

Even more randomly, I STILL can't quite get over just how many (48246273453 of them) extremely awkward photoshoots this man has been subjected to in his past.
