It's seems like forever since I've recommended any stories in this place. And it was! I haven't been reading that much, either. But now I've printed out a bunch of things that I've enjoyed reading immensely.
I've said it many, many times, but I just love a good AU:
Mau Loa Means the Time We Have by
gaiaanarchy is an absolutely gorgeous story where John & Rodney meet in Hawaii. I love this because there's pining, it's wistful yet funny and John & Rodney are the same people we know, who just happened to end up somewhere different. Just beautiful.
A Supermarket in California by
taffetablue is a slightly fluffier kind of story, but it's adorable. John inherits a supermarket and meets grumpy Rodney. Just as in the story above, I love it when the writers don't try to make Rodney any less obnoxious than he is, it's just that John doesn't care! It's a terrifically funny and loveable story.
jchalo and
lilysaid have together created the beautiful universe of a circus, where John & Rodney also meet. It's amazingly gorgeous and moody and completely enchanting. I never want to leave! So go read
Biggest Ever Sky.
I've finally found time to watch and listen to the SGA audio commentaries with Joe & David. And I could seriously listen to them forever and ever. They're just too precious and funny. I really like Martin Gero, but he talks entirely too much! He wish he'd let Joe & David just ramble on. I do find it amusing that David mostly jokes around and makes little odd comments, while Joe seems to have all these thoughts he wants to share. And yeah, they do have great chemistry.
Which brings me right in to a few other stories that I've loved. Because, you see, there's been a few stories posted to
sga_rps lately, which I've loved. Stories about how Joe & David are PINING. So, you know I had to love them. Also, just very recently,
lilysaid has posted yet another (after the masterpiece that is
Find You out - a story I've read about five times...) beautiful, beautiful RPS story about my favourite duo, called
Safety Check which you just HAVE to read.
That should amuse you for while, right? *g*
