In which the universe works in mysterious ways
Uh.
So, I am working at Bob's like I always do on Tuesday nights and in walks my old boss. No Vickie, the boss I had beofre her, a woman named Kathy.
And We hug and chat and somewhere in the conversation, I mention that this is part time work, not wanting her to think I lost my job or something. And she gets a look on her face and she says:
"you're licensed, right?"
To which I respond in the affirmative and she says:
"come work for me. I'll pay you 30 bucks an hour contract work".
Whoa. She goes on to tell me that the position only pays when the client shows and that I would be providing treatment to pre school kids. She went on to tell me that she would hire me in a minute without a second thought.
So... here's the crazy thing. Now, bear in mind i don't have the details and it may not be as good a deal as it sounds. But assuming it is... I am freaked out about taking it.
not because I doubt my abilities, but becasue I am nervous about giving up the stress free easy cash. I mean I have 32 bucks in my pocket right now that I did not have 3 hours ago and that feels good.
I would have to see how everything would work out, but if they can promise me 9 hours a week and if by some lucky chance the pay schedule is opposite my current one, and I can keep my Sunday morning shift at Bob's, I think I'll do it.
