Things that thrill me irrationally..
~ My bed. there is nothing special about it, but I love to be in bed. i think I have great sheets. Great sheets are a luxury everyone should have!
~ My cat. He is probably the most afffectionate cat I have ever owned!
~ Reading that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes marriage is in trouble.. ok, so it's just gosssip, but seeing as he is my SWORN ENEMY, I can't help but delight in his fake sorrow!
~ Books. Why is this irrational? Becasue I have no earthly time to read them right now! but I love the prospect!
~ Spending money like a filthty consumerist pig BWAHAHAHAHAHA! this is also irrational, beacuse we are on a budget that does not allow for this. But every once in a while I will take the credit card and get what I want and OMG IT FEELS GREAT! I could totally be rich. I would be a generous rich person, and share the wealth, but I could SO be rich and live my life owning things that cost some riduculous amount of money. I think this is a direct reaction to my years carreer choice.
~ My favorite TV shows on DVD (see also "My Bed") Watching FRIENDS and Will & Grace obsessively for hours in bed eating ice cream is the BEST way to zone out. Well, one of the best.
~ Cleaning Oakleys room. His room shapes up really fast and it is my favorite room in the house because it feels so happy and innocent and fun. I went to IKEA and let him pick out a bed set... pillow case and duvet cover for under 20 bucks! I think it's so cute! i am little by little redoing his room. I'll take pictures!
~ IKEA!! I LOVE ME SOME IKEA!!
~ Baby clothes. Although I have no baby at the present, I love little tiny cute clothes! Perhaps I will buy a doll...
~ The internet, especially if it's snowing or I am otherwise stuck in the hosue.
~ Gardening, although i really suck bad at it. No, seriously. Our garden this year did not produce enough to make a good salad, unless it an all green tomato salad!
~ How aboslutely really really really good things are going with Tina right now. It's not irrational on the surface, but when you consider that no one ever gets taht giddy over a 6 year old realtionship, it seem irrational. BUt we get along really well. All things considered, we are so compatible.
~ That my work shift for the weekend is over half done.. I only have about 8 hours remaining of my 24 hour shift! WOOT!!!!
