So, yesterday at about 4:55, Rand (our secretary) walks into the office and hands me a paper. "Here's the list for your class", she says. "What class?" I say. "I don't have a class now"
Fuckin' Vijay.
He started a new CEPA class (the high-stress one, all girls in abbayas and such), which I kind of knew was happening. What I never heard was when, specifically, last night. Vijay's reply: "Oh, I put it on your schedule yesterday!" Thanks Vijay.
So Vijay and I had to have a little talk about communication, and how it's important in any relationship. And how "my schedule" is an excel file, in a network drive I can't access from my computer, which I don't look at all that often. And how, seeing as I spend my days a whole 10 feet away from Vijay, it would be nice if he could, you know, let me know when he gives me a new class. The final resolution: Vijay has graciously accepted that he will send me an email when he changes my schedule. I didn't feel like bringing that 10-feet thing up again.
Goddamn it.
Actually, the class wasn't bad. Much smaller this time - only 5 students. I discovered the real challege of the last class was actually learning everyone's name when they all dress identically. It took me a little while, but I think I've got it now. My main source of stress right now is how fucked my schedule is. It's not all Vijay's fault - it was pretty chaotic before. But somehow, the new class I hadn't been expecting has just completely thrown off my whole game. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll have shit under control again. 'Cause Vijay's not gonna help.
