It's Almost Winchester Day!!

Until then, I've been watching FX's new series Sons Of Anarchy. I was unsure about the show in the first episode but it's really growing on me now. I spent the first two episodes thinking how much the show reminded me of The Shield only to find out that one of TS's writers/co-producers created SOA. Heh. Guess I know now why they're so similar. I think with TS ending this season FX wanted a similar series to replace it and SOA does that nicely. Like The Shield, it is very dark and gritty. And you find yourself rooting for the bad guys/main characters.
I can't completely accept UK QAF's "Justin" (Charlie Hunnam) as Baby Biker, the heir apparent to SAMCRO. He's just too darn pretty to be a tough guy biker. But I guess they've got to bring the female viewers in somehow. Heh.
But the best characters on the show, the absolute scene stealers are "Bundy & The Beast", a.k.a Ron Pearlman (Beauty & The Beast; Hellboy) as the leader of the biker gang and Katey Segal (Married With Children) as his wife and mother to CH's character. "The Beast" is great; completely believable as the crooked, immoral leader of SAMCRO. But the star has to be "Peg Bundy". She was just meant to play this role and deserves an Emmy nod. She is fabulous as the badass biker mama.
And, OMG, The Shield's "Dutch" just showed up as an ATF agent investigating SAMCRO's gun running. Eeeeee!! Can't wait to see him go toe to toe with Bundy & The Beast.
