The apple doesn't fall far from the tree
I have started tutoring a child in Math this summer and she has severe attention and focus issues. Its not that she doesn't understand, its that she can't focus long enough on one question.
Last night wasn't going to be a long session so the father stayed at the house while I worked with her. Well, several times, I would just get her focused and the father would interrupt us with a funny quote in a book he just read and get her off task once again laughing.... ADD genetic perhaps?!?
I think I need to request longer sessions ALONE from now on...
