I thought when I originally saw this that it was to prevent scratching at the door to get in.

Mulder the cat has the ability to go anywhere in the house and no door will stop him. You can see the silly owner thought a tub of water in front of the door would be enough to stop him, but that’s not the case. This cat’s brilliant talent is just a huge thorn in the owner’s side. Watch Mulder doing his thing:
