I had visions, I was in them- I was looking into the mirror...

Parinoia.

That's pretty much the topic that's stuck in my mind right now. Heh. But only because it was a lot of weirdness tonight and.. good stuff mixed with tiring stuff and all that jazz.

Jolene has been staying with us for the past few days or so- which is part of why I haven't been writing much in here due to less time and all that jazz. I think she was really feeling bad when she first came here, but we've been talking and she's been sleeping well and all that- and I think she's doing a lot better.

Anyhow, I was supposed to take her to the train today but she missed it- which turned out to be a good thing for us because she drove my car up to the city, and gave us a ride to Ry's house. Sweet. =)

We got to go see Ry! It was very cool. We had hoagies together with slightly crunchy rolls and fries with catsup that were nummy. Her family is really nice- her brother Ethan reminds me of my brother Ron, hehe. Neptune enjoyed sitting on our shoulders a lot! Uno attack is a lot of fun- I do want to get it for the kids and us for Christmas- especially since I've got a coupon for it. Aus and Ry played video games and I watched, hehe. We got some cool art stuff from Ry, and I got to give her the needlepoint I did. Jolene took us down to see her, then went to go hang out with Jay.

Then Jolene picked us up, and we hung out with her and Jay at Jolene's place for a while. Jolene has one of those nifty city apartments on multiple levels. I think it feels haunted- but by nice spirits. You know.. one of those houses so old it has history and life of its own. We had pizza and watched Smallville. Oh.. and we got to find out that Jay is one of those rare human beings - A Roleplayer! Woo-hoo! Jolene counted this as an "eh" in her book, but we gave him two thumbs up for that, and invited him to take a look at our website. It would be nice if we could get to play a tabletop RP someday, hehe. He's technically an ex-roleplayer because (as he said when we asked him) he didn't have anyone to play with anymore. Well, we can change that. Heh.

Jolene had to go to work (she dresses up as Turkish Jade and sells Camel cigarettes in clubs). She really hates it when I call her the cancer stick peddler. We stayed behind and played Trivial Pursuit with Jay. By the way- things we learned from the game include that Bob is a great answer when you have no idea what to answer, and that the non dirty answer to " something that can be blue ,veiny , soft or hard" is not a penis- it's cheese.

Then Jolene dropped Jay off before we went home (by now, it was midnight). Being a typical Philly girl, she parked in the middle of the right lane, and got out to suck face with Jay against the side of our car (which was rocking, incidentally, though we were mostly too polite to point and giggle). When cars started coming, however, and making angry driver faces and hand gestures at the two people making out in the road, I politely rolled down the back window and asked if they wanted me to pop the trunk so they could have a place to lay down. Then Jay went inside and we got to come home.

When we got here- it was almost 1:30, and there was a note for us on the kitchen table- "Take out the trash please, we forgot to earlier" . So at 1:30 am, we hauled trash to the curb. The stars, incidentally, were beautiful tonight. The sky was clearer than I've seen it in a long time- and it seemed like a whole canopy of starrs was glowing down on us. It felt, to me, like a bright and hopeful sign for the future for all of us.

Also- we finally got our Monty Python CD from Long, along with a nice letter and a page of random drawings which is very cute. So it was a very good day, if a very tiring one. Sorry for everyone who missed us- we promise to try and be more available tomorrow.

On a future note:
Jolene borrowed a book from Ry, so she at least has to take us back to return it- and said she wouldn't mind running us up to see Ry again soon. =)

Jolene and Jay are comming over next Wednesday and staying over, hehe, to help us cook and such for Thanksgiving. We're going to have a lot of fun. I really like Jay- he's a roleplayer, after all, and has that warped sense of humor we can apreciate. So he's welcome to the insanity of our lives.

friends, games, fun, family
