Yummy and cool
I like this time of year when we can get all the fresh fruits and veggies. We just got some nice cherries, white corn on the cob, green peppers, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oranges, and a watermelon from our local produce market place the other day. Of course, my watermelon is already gone - I scoop out the inside with an ice cream scoop and put the watermelon pieces in a big container in the fridge. Today, our son carried off said container to eat at the beach with his friends. Alas, watermelon.. .I had a few pieces of you and then you were gone. But at least the kids enjoyed it.
Though my birthday isn't until June 13th, I'm celebrating it on Sunday with my mom (born on June 5th). Because the Wii Fit is impossible to get, my mom got me some other stuff for my birthday - including this amazingly cool Indiana Jones monopoly game. Check out the link - there's a ton of pictures there. It's really rad. I especially love that it has special rules for doubles. It comes in a Raiders-esque stamped crate, too! How cool is that?
I need an Indy icon. Anyone have some good ones?
Also, looks like my man Obama is going to be our democratic nomination! Yay! Here's hoping he's our next president and that things actually change for the better in this sad country.
