...my very bad attempt at a sonnet, haha...
Spring Came Too Soon
We walked wrapt by winter white,
Dreams crushed under booted feet,
Not a respite found in sight,
Your breath frozen beside me.
The bridge covered in ice,
Our hearts thawing fast,
Before we could think twice,
All our trepidations passed.
So when the springtime came,
Our lives were entwined as one,
Last names had become the same,
By this deed we'd effortless done.
But at times, I yet regret the snow,
and the faceless lovers not to know.
Blah. Sonnets are evil.
