Had an awesome night out last night ... went to The Attic to see local bands cover (and dress up as) Nirvana, The Sex Pistols and The Misfits. Whoo! I would have been in the pit had it not been for my heels - my friends would have had to drag me out by my petticoat.
Oh yes, I went as Little Blow Peep complete with crook ... but the bouncer wouldn't let me bring it into the bar! He felt bad though - it was kinda the defining feature of the costume ... but policy and procedure yadda yadda. :P
My friend - and the birthday girl -
Mort went as Moldilocks (complete with a bowl of porridge) and the lovely Bethany went as Little Dead Riding Hood (complete with a fellow in a wolf costume!)
Here is Little Dead Riding Hood ...
and here's Moldilocks (you can't see her bowl of porridge but she really did bring one! Note the green mold in her golden tresses ...
This is a pic of me eating a recently liberated soul.
and here I am in my full Little Blow Peep costume. Note the white powder below my nose. Also note the crook with which I draw in lost souls ... I mean sheep.
I slept at Mort's place afterward. One of her cats, Silas, kept me company by burrowing under the blanket and curling up by my knees. So cute! However that night I had a nightmare that Peter (a classmate from film school) was sending demons to possess me! I tried to scream out for
Bast but at first I couldn't form the words - then I woke up saying her name. Silas was still there when I half-woke up so I calmed down right away and went back to sleep. I was surprised with the memory of it while washing my hands and looking in the mirror hours later.
Then her fella Jay bought us things from Tim Horton's - I had a peppermint tea and three cookies with various chocolate things in them. Yum! Then I had a lovely drive home. It's so sunny and beautiful out - quite warm for the season - and the leaves are at their peak of autumnal perfection. I had the window open and (having only my costume to wear) the cape felt appropriate with the swirling leaves and breeze ... I felt like a fairytale witch coming home from a coven meeting on the morning after.
