I've just returned from seeing Serenity. I really enjoyed this movie! The soundtrack was good. The sound effects were quite good. Most importantly, I enjoyed the story. I have not seen many episodes of Firefly, but I was still able to get a feel for the characters and their relationships. I do strongly advise watching at least some of the episodes of Firefly before seeing the movie though, as it deepens your appreciation/empathy for the characters. My main criticism is that I felt that there should have been more wide shots in the melee sequences - visually, I find them much more appealing. Other than that though, it's a fantastic film and it is certainly worth seeing the the theatre. Yay Joss! :D
