[Back so soon? It is peculiar for him to show up on the Dreamberry so often, though not, perhaps, for him to have so much to say.

But at first...his expression is curiously contemplative.]

I wonder, perhaps, if we are erroneous in our definitions at base. It does, after all, certainly seem as though 'return' is far more apt than 'loss'.

[... There a plenty of things Dominic could say, as there are plenty of things he feels about Vincent's disappearance. Like a weight's been lifted off his shoulders, but at the same time, dissatisfaction settling over.

In the end, he smiles slightly and settles with-]

... At least I got a good hit in before he left.

[Petty, he knows, but it was the most satisfying thing he's done in a while.]

[...The things Break is not saying, and indeed that he shall never say, is that with Vincent suddenly gone, with all of his plots and plans severed and useless...

...He does not know what to do. But he will never say so, for he will never believe so himself.]

Ah! As did I!

[A stab through the chest, that is--]

You are quite correct, Mister Dominic; at the very least, it was not a complete waste of time.

... Somehow, I get the feeling that we're talking about different types of hits.

[Because he can't quite imagine Break punching Vincent in the face, thank you.]

Yeah... definitely not for me, at least.

[Because... he's gotten closer with people he might not have, if it weren't for Vincent's presence. Because he's changed, and even if it hurt, he's thankful for that.]

I wonder! Ah, though it does seem to matter little if, at end, the result is all the same.

[A tilt of his head and a bit of a smile.]

And to think~ If he returns, there is a very high chance he shall not even remember your name.

I know.

[Whether he's hoping for that or not... he's not sure yet.]

Still, there've been times where people returned with their memories intact, so I'd rather not count on that.

[He chuckles.]

But of course! It would hardly be sound reasoning to depend on anything so undependable as that.

It is, however, an option we must consider. I must admit to being curious.

What would you do, Mister Dominic, were Mister Vincent to return without any memories of this place?

... I'm not sure. Continue living my life like always, I suppose. I've no reason to actively seek him out, but... I don't think I'd go out of my way to avoid him either.

...What a peculiar response!

[Smiiiile.]

There is, of course, another possibility we must consider.

Is it?

Well, there's the possibility that Road will tell him everything, unless you were thinking of something else...?

Oh, that is entirely inconsequential. Miss Road is hardly a concern at this point.

[Smiiiile.]

There is, however, the possibility that he shall remember you and pretend otherwise.

Not a concern to you, at least.

[... He didn't think of that.]

... That'd be just like him, wouldn't it?

[...There is something to be said for drawing Vincent's allies into his own sphere of influence, there truly is. Road is within the palm of his hand, and he knows it.]

It would not be unlike him, correct. Though I do believe we have a week or two to see! This is the proper time of month, after all.
