Last semester, biology was my crazy class, and psych was my coast class. This semester, psych is online, so will take me much more brain space, and biology is looking disappointingly like a coast class.
I'm peeved. Last semester I took Intro to Anatomy and Physiology for my beginning bio class. I could have taken zoology, or plant bio, or something else, but I figured that Intro to A&P would prepare me the best (the older, experienced nursing instructor said so, too). It was intense. I figured that it was because I'd never had bio before.
I was trying to figure out what A&P I and II would cover, and last semester my instructor said that it'd be largely the same stuff, just in much more detail, with much more memorization. Well, lab is more intense, that's for certain. But lecture? We're covering half of the material that we did last semester, and so far, in much less detail. Today we covered cells, and she didn't even touch protein synthesis. It's in the chapter. We didn't talk about it in class, and it's not going to be on the test. Mitosis? Nope, not that either.
I'm both pissed and somewhat relieved. Pissed, because I'm sure I should be learning something more. A little relieved, because it's nice to know that this is all stuff I remember and shouldn't have to kill myself studying for.
