Twelfth Night Strikes!

Jan 05, 2009 19:46

On Saturday morning, Jeff said, "Can you make me a matching hat for my gown for this weekend?"

Well, he didn't realize that is was going to be a Project(tm). The last one only took a couple of hours. That was well-fulled wool, this is slippery and ravelly silk, that needs a lot of seam finishing.

And I might as well do the little bit that's hidden by hand, as long as I'm doing all of that finishing by hand.

If you give a mouse a cookie...

He also mentioned that I hadn't yet put the lacing rings in his gown. If I have to sew him in, he doesn't want to wear it all day in case he gets hot.

Oh.

And then I realized it might be warm, so I should probably get around to finishing my lightweight v-neck gown that I my friends made me Storvik Novice. Oy!

So, I'm joining y'all in the loonie bin. Is there room? :-D
