I heard about Prop 8 this afternoon, and the first thing I did was cry. Words can't express how I'm feeling now. Somehow elation doesn't even quite sum it up. Now, I know that we have merely won a battle in what is surely going to be a long war, but we have fired one hell of a first salvo. Of course it is going to be appealed, but for just one day I think it's time to come together as a community and celebrate this victorious occasion. Because it's still going to be a tough fight. The other side is just as passionate in their beliefs as we are in ours.
