"Dude, there's no such thing as vampires!"
"Yeah. That means a lot coming from a werewolf."

"So, you're a Voodoo witch doctor. What's that like?"

"So, you're a fire-wielding sorceress. What's that like?"

# 49. Big Wolf on Campus
Big Wolf on Campus is a supernatural fantasy comedy that aired on the FOX Family Channel from April 2, 1999 to April 27, 2002. It had 3 seasons, 68 episodes total. Big Wolf on Campus is about a teenage boy named Thomas "Tommy" P. Dawkins, who after getting bitten by a werewolf during the summer before his senior year of high school becomes a werewolf. He begins to fight evil forces like vampires, werecats, ghosts, zombies, and other supernatural beings along side his geeky, Encyclopedia knowledge of all things supernatural, friend--Merton J. Dingle. Throughout the series, Merton tries to help Tommy find a way to get rid of his lycanthropy.

Big Wolf on Campus made my list because it was the first supernatural fantasy series that I really liked. I guess you can say it paved the way for future shows like Buffy and Charmed (who yes both started before this show, but I didn't watch them before). I enjoyed the werewolf-nerd-kick boxer trio as they defeated evil week after week. I wish this show was on DVD, but at least the episodes are on youtube. It is unfortunate that this show only lasted 68 episodes.

Characters:
Thomas "Tommy" P. Dawkins, aka "The Pleasantville Werewolf"
Merton J. Dingle
Lauren 'Lori' Baxter
Stacey Hanson
Tim and Travis Eckert, aka "T'N'T"
Dean Dawkins
Sally Dawkins
Hugo Bostwick
Mayor Bob Dawkins

"Merton J. Dingle doesn't give up *that* easily!"
[stapler doesn't work] "Ugh! Stupid stapler! I quit!"

Fav character: Merton J. Dingle
--he knows everything about the supernatural and always helps werewolf friend Tommy in his battles against evil. I loved how he gave movie references to everything. I'm talking about the recurring gag--Merton makes a movie reference, then instead of talking about the movie itself, he would talk about either how the film was received or what he felt when he watched it. Afterwards Tommy usually hits him and says "in the movie!" e.g. "This is like the Purple Rose of Cairo, Woody Allen's Oscar nominated tale of longing and betrayal." "Yeah? What happened?" "The academy snubbed him, it's all so political." "What happened in the movie!?" Gotta love Merton, funny guy.

"So, you're a ravenous hoard of flesh-eating zombies. What's that like?"
