Welcome to California: The Sue-You State

So, here I am in LA, to live for a bit. It was something I kind of yearned to do for a while, but the whole process was VERY spur of the moment and I still have more to go up and pack more next weekend (DX I'll now miss HP5 movie premiere and HP7 book, but I don't really find it as tragic as I should). Durrhurr.
I don't know how any of yous LA-area peoples can deal, but I'm sure I'll learn to bite the bullet and deal in my own way. At least I'm closer to a lot of yous peeps, kinda.
I'm living down here until who knows when. Until my mom gets a new job, until I graduate, until I find a new place to live. Financially, it was a really great move. It's just... LA, you know?
I'm excited, scared and kinda kicking myself in the head. One, in part for having to want to move down here since I first heard of FIDM so that i could go to the campus down here. Two, for basically solidifying everything and packing most of my stuff in a few short days. SF will always be my home, but I should learn to make the best of it down here.
Well, anyway. I'm in Redondo Beach, and I'd like to see more of them thar crazy LA-type people while I'm down here. You know, away from cons. Crazy, I know.
And, good lord, epic morning traffic is epic. Yay to having a school so close to the fashion district. Boo to it basically being in downtown. I have the choice of leaving at 6:30 and making it to my 8:30 class at around 7:45, or leave at 7 and get there at, I dunno, possibly 10. Waking up at 6 am hurts. Harg.
Blatherblatherblather. Am going to go dry hair, see if mom's feeling any better, and get ready for a day of yay.

epic, fidm, wangst, traffic
