My Weekend started on Thursday.

I drove up to Houghton on Wednesday night, and worked all day Thursday registering Competitors for the ProRally. Friday, I was the Stage Captain for Stage 1. But, my jacket grew legs, so I couldn't find it to take it with me. So I was cold to begin with, then the fucking wind came up. Not just a few gusts, but a strong steady wind to blow all the leaves off the trees, and all the heat out of my body. Luckily, one of the guys had an extra jacket, so I warmed back up rather nicely. I want a Carhartt parka!
For the drive back, I was welcomed with a cloud-illuminating lightning flash as I crested a hill. Then, for most of the rest of the evening I watched one of the most amazing light shows I've seen in a while.
Saturday.
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday. It was wet. REALLY wet. Soak-you-to-the-bone wet. And thensome. The Stages for that day started out shitty, and then they just got worse, after the rally cars took the water/mud/dirt surface of the stage, and then churned it into a nice, universal, shit surface. Before the first stage, when it was "nice", I hit a puddle and took out my fog lights. Then it got shitty. My car had a half-inch layer of mud ALL over it. Luckily, I got to drive back in a driving rain, so it got about 75% cleaner.
And Rachel's still pissed because I got my car dirty. Ha Ha Ha. If she only knew how dirty it REALLY was...
