She nodded in approval, laughing at the little spin he made. It reminded her of Cinderella, spinning around so that the Fairy Godmother could see her dress. Heh. Xigbar in a ballroom dress. Too funny.

Anyway, she leaned off the door and smoothed out her dress before snagging his keys off the table. Kairi still had her way with him, it seemed, even if he denied it. Which he always did.

"C'mon, let's go." And she opened the door wide for him, allowing him to pass by before she closed and locked it. Being a responsible citizen, and all that. She even opened her car door for him, which was being nicer than usual. But her job had taught her that, not really society. The world never seemed to be all too nice.

And vroom vroom they went in her little pink Corvette, Kairi showing her dominance with her choice of vehicle, even if the color proved to be childish. She figured if other people could get bumblebee colors, why couldn't she get a happy feminine one?

Before she knew it, they were there at a shack-looking thing with a tiny wooden sign that said "Pancake House." It didn't look extravagant or anything, but it did its job. It served pancakes. And so she opened the door for Xigbar again, in case he didn't realize where the handle was while he was daydreaming for the most part, and waited for him to lead the way. She didn't know where they were going to sit, after all. And she figured he'd like to be leader once in a while.

ooc;; that was really long. wow. but i guess it serves its purpose.

Xigbar felt absolutely stupid sitting in a pink Corvette. He'd feel silly sitting in a pink anything, but a Corvette was worse. He hadn't even known they made pink Corvettes. And where had Kairi gotten the money for something like this anyway? Her job couldn't be that impressive, could it?

He pondered all this while they drove in silence (well Kairi could have been talking, for all Xigbar knew - he wasn't exactly paying attention), and when they arrived at their destination Xigbar barely resisted pulling a face at the ramshackle little building. They were going to eat food here? Was that even sanitary? But whatever, free food was free food.

He graciously allowed Kairi to hold open the door for him and strutted into the "restaurant." Glancing at the "please seat yourself!" sign taped to the front counter, he headed as far back into the place as he could, the best seating for having the least amount of people notice them.

"This good enough?" he asked Kairi, gesturing to the booth like he cared about her opinion. As if.

She was surprised Xigbar wasn't amused with the place. It seemed like his type of place, after all. She remembered when they first met, he took her to a run-down bar that didn't even have a name, and they only specialized in one drink. At least the Hut had a legitimate name, and they served food that probably wasn't all pancakes.

...Probably. She wasn't actually sure. Whoops.

She followed him to the booth he pointed out, sitting across from where she assumed he would. Plastered in front of her was a delapitated menu, dust smothering the plastic and making the surface opaque. Well, shit, how was she supposed to read the thing?

Oh well. To Kairi, the restaurant was just like Xigbar: she would just have to go out on a limb and see where it brought her.
