Ginger kicked her feet up on the desk. “Don’t worry, someone will call.” “I don’t know,” said Mel, resting her head on her hand. “I mean, they probably won’t take us seriously. We’re just a bunch of girls after all.” She snorted, not believing that limited themselves at all. Confident Dana just grinned. “They’re probably fighting the operator right now to be the first person to call us. Any moment now it’ll call…” The phone rang, and they all sprung forward to answer it. Fighting each other, Ginger ended up victorious and shouted into the phone, “Hello! This is Good Gals, how can we help you?” A pause. “Oh, Hi, Mrs. Jeffrey. Sure she’s here,” Ginger sighed, passing the phone to Mel. “It’s your mother.”
