Round 60 | Info
Here you will find the rules, participants and themes for Round 60!!
PLEASE remember that this round is different from all other rounds. This round will focus only on supernatural characters. There will be no limit on how many times you use a specific character like the last round, unless otherwise stated, they just have to be characters of a supernatural variety. For characters who started out human and have since been turned into some form of supernatural creature, please use screencaps of them only after having turned.
Supernatural: Of, pertaining to, or being above or beyond what is natural; unexplainable by natural law or phenomena; abnormal.
Please link directly to your set of icons. This is aimed specifically at those of you that post at multiple 20in20 comms and lump all your submissions into one post. You can either use an lj-cut, or post the set in another post. If anyone would like an explanation on how to do either of the first two, please let me know.
PLEASE try to comment on everyone's entries and leave them positive feedback.
ROUND RULES:
» Icons must be made originally for this challenge, no prior work may be submitted.
» All work must be your own, not someone else's.
» Please make sure all images are PG Rated. Meaning, no graphic violence, nudity or profanity so that everyone can go view your icons. :D BUT if you're not sure, just ask. :)
» Icons must fit the livejournal standard. under 40kb, 100x100px and in either .png, .gif or .jpg file format.
» Animation is allowed as long as it fits the above standards.
» When posting the finished 20 please leave 3 icon examples, not just a banner and a link to the icon post or lj-cut.
» Post the completed icons at once and link directly to the set.
» The icon post must be unlocked for two reasons. 1. because the mods need to see the entries for voting and 2. So people don't have to join to view your icons.
» Don't submit your icons to this post.
» ALL entries are moderated which means that I have to accept the entry before it's made visible to the public.
» Please use the provided table to post your icons for convenience. (you can of course change the colors)
» When posting your icons to the community, please ensure you put Round: 60 "name of character" as the subject.
» Please add your own tags, and do it using the following format exactly: user: you, character: chosen character
» If you'd like a participation banner, note it in your post. If you do not tell me you want a participation banner, you won't receive one.
» Completed 20 are due August 20th at midnight in your timezone.

ROUND 60 TABLE + THEMES
(10) THEMES: *Blood, *Evil, *Fangs Close Up, *Horns, *Magic, *Space & Stock, *Vintage, *Violent, *Wings, *Zombie
*BLOOD - Your character can either have blood on them somewhere or you can use a blood like texture to make the icon look bloody. The icon can't just be red, you have to show blood somehow.

*EVIL - Icon a character who is evil. I know there are some characters that let a little good show through sometimes but if they are mostly evil most of the time then you can use them. As far as Once Upon a Time goes...you can icon Regina as the evil queen but not Regina as Regina since she is mostly good as Regina and evil as the evil queen. Since the characters on that show have two storylines you can icon any character if you icon them as their evil selves.

*FANGS CLOSE UP - Just what it sounds like, show a character that has fangs and do a close crop of those fangs.

*HORNS - Icon a character with horns. More than likely you are going to have to use stock horns for your character if you don't have a character that has horns naturally.

*MAGIC - Icon a character(s) who is using or practicing magic.

*SPACE & STOCK - Your icon will make use of 2 things, negative space and some form of stock texture.

*VINTAGE - Your icon should have a vintage look and coloring to it.

*VIOLENT - Your icon should show your character in a violent moment or have an overall feeling of pending violence.

*WINGS - Icon a character with wings. Like with horns you might have to use stock wings if you don't have a character with wings naturally.

*ZOMBIE - Now, these character icons will not necessarily have to be of zombies BUT they will havea to come from a supernatural movie or tv show about zombies. They can be of anyone, supernatural or otherwise, that are characters in a zombie movie or tv show. This is the only theme where the character does not have to be supernatural in any way.

(5) CATEGORY: Color Coded Characters: Your icons are going to, for the most part, have one main color to them and the color you choose should relate to the character you choose. Colors have meanings and are associated to certain things. I am going to link you to a 'color meaning' site but you can use any site you want for color meanings. Based on what color you choose and its meaning it should relate to the character you are iconing. Repetition of colors is fine BUT all icons should be a different type of supernatural creature. Feel free to ask questions as I am sure I have explained this horribly.
In your entry please explain your reason, one sentence is fine, for choosing the color you did to go with the character you chose.

Elves & Green: Green is the color of nature and the Tolkien elves loved all beauty of nature.
Demons & Black: Black is associated with power, death and evil. These are all traits of Crowley.
Angels & Blue: Blue is the color of the sky and it symbolizes loyalty, wisdom, intelligence, faith, and heaven, which can be applied to Castiel.
Wizards & Red: Red is associated with danger and dark red is associated with longing. I think this fits with Merlin becuase he is in constant danger of being found out to be a wizard with powers but he longs to be able to tell Arthur what he is.
Fairies & Green: Again, green is the color of nature and some believe that fairies are personified aspects of nature.
