Health Kick

Since the year began, I haven't really been treating my body very well. I've been slacking on the physical activity and have been carelessly consuming food full of sugar and all the other toxic nonsense we should be staying away from. And no, it's not southern California getting to me. Yeah, this place is full of health freaks and yoga queens. But maybe these "freaks" are onto something. On every street corner there's a fast food restaurant luring us in with photos of their succulent burgers and tacos hung outside their windows. And what do we do? We go in because we're too lazy to prepare a healthy, nutritious home-cooked meal (and because their dollar menus are hard to turn away from) for ourselves. It's no wonder why America is the most obese country in the world! But maybe, just maybe, if we all embraced a little bit of the "LA" lifestyle and watched what we ate (just a little!) and exercised, we wouldn't have such a bad reputation! Perhaps even gain a little self-confidence that many of us lack.

I apologize for that little spiel but my final note on the health rant is this: We were only given one body and it really is up to us to take care of it.

Oh! My primary reason for this entry was to encourage everyone to try frozen grapes if you haven't already! For years I've been told that frozen grapes were a mouthwatering delight and I finally gave it a try. Sure, grapes are probably not the healthiest of fruits but they are still a rich source of vitamins and minerals that can help ensure a more healthy and robust life!
