Nathan Young (Misfits)
"Charlie first met Nathan during a curse. The City had gone to the fifties, she was a carhop and he was some wanna-be punk with a stolen motorcycle. He asked her for a blowjob and the only thing that prevented her from dumping fries and milkshake all over him was she liked her job at the time. Even after the curse was lifted, she still found his moments of perverted behavior mildly frustrating. However, that has yet to prevent her from talking to him. She's pretty sure they're friends and hopes it continues, even if he does blame her for shooting himself in the foot."
Dulcie (Going Bovine)
"In Charlie's opinion, Dulcie is that friend she'd be lost without. This is something she can say about very few people. Dulcie is a free spirit and Charlie admires her for it. The angel once propositioned Charlie for sex which was a bit of an ego boost. And then, during a mistletoe-related curse, gave Charlie quite the kiss and told her she was talented at it. This was also a bit of an ego boost. Plus, she can brag she made out with an Angel. Charlie feels as though she can easily turn to Dulcie if she needs someone to vent to, she just has her reservations about doing so, afraid of being a pain in the ass or a burden. She values Duclie and her friendship and is likely to defend her to the death."
Toph Bei Fong (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
"Toph Bei Fong is one of the toughest kids she knows. She reminds Charlie a lot of herself, to a point. Charlie showered more. No offense, Toph. Beyond that, though, Toph has the same ballsy never-back-down attitude that Charlie had at that age. She loves working with her at The Jasmine Dragon and gives no fucks when it comes to Tophs age. It's irrelevant and if anyone injured Toph or harmed her in any way, they'd be ash faster than they could blink.
Sam Winchester (Supernatural)
"Sometimes, it really doesn't take much for Charlie to like someone. Sam Winchester is one of those people. Charlie has highly enjoyed the few conversations she's had with him, as short as some of them were. She once offered to teach him to cook and the offer still stands. She even looks forward to it.
Tony Stark (Iron Man Movies)
"Oh, lordy. How to explain this one? The first time they talked, it was through the networking device. She told him she'd never heard of him and he did the only thing that made sense. He asked her out to dinner to rectify the situation and to get to know the City better. It wasn't necessarily a date, and the several lunches and dinners out after probably weren't entirely dates either but Charlie did develop a little crush. A crush that wasn't helped at all when she returned from being kidnapped by Weeping Angels because upon her return, she found out that Tony had spent most of the time looking for her. He flew her home, a fantastic and kind of romantic flight over the City which ended in a kiss. She's not sure what to make of any of what's going on and at present, doesn't really mind."
James Wilson (House)
"First off, it helps that he likes Plants vs Zombies, something that is entirely her fault and she will take credit for. It also helps that when Angry Birds were taking over the City, he came and helped her knock over the structures the green pigs were building. This makes perfect sense, be quiet. Another thing that helps is, Wilson is smart. And as far as she can tell, kind. These, especially the intelligence, are qualities Charlie adores in a person. She enjoys talking to him quite a lot. He's one of the growing list of people she'd miss dearly if he vanished from the City."

"But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure.
