[Chase is running between the hospital and the nearest place serving drinkable coffee. Running, because he's in scrubs and it's bloody cold.]

[Charlie is outside as well, giving customers directions to a store. It's just when they leave that the mistletoe makes an appearance. And that's probably right around the time Chase is close by.]

[No, it's right around the time that he all but slams into her.]

[Catching her around the waist and spinning her to prevent her taking the blow... and then seamlessly sweeping her closer into a kiss.]

Jesus. What---[Nope. There it is. That need to kiss someone, that someone being Chase and she does so with mild enthusiasm. He's pretty damn built and that's a wonderful thing to wrap her arms around.]

[And she's pretty damn young, but the curse doesn't let him stop that from using the arm at her waist to dip her back just a little and part his lips against hers.]

[She'd argue that twenty is not young and he doesn't look that much older than her, but kissing Chase is important right now. She's quite pleased to return the kiss, one arm around his shoulders to keep herself from falling.]

[Well. That would be flattering. He's holding her far too steadily to let her fall, even on deepening the kiss for a seconf before drawing back.

And stepping back to bring her upright again, which is only really successful in that it pulls her closer against him.]

Yeah. [She's forgotten how to breathe for a moment, Chase. Wow, what a kiss. There's the faintest of smiles tugging at the corner of her lips.] It's...kind of been a thing all day.

[He exhales something like relief and - oh - steps back enough to give her room to breathe.]

I know. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't taken you by surprise.
