[ Oh, hello, it's the Doctor interrupting your reverie. He just has a question and you can be on your way -- except, well, his question might be about the mistletoe hanging above your heads. ]

Was this here yesterday? [ Points up. ] Suddenly it's all over the place, seems like.

[Charlie looks at the man, smiling politely enough before shaking her head.] This is the first i've seen it and I've lived here for months.

'S just really strange -- [ He takes a step closer, but that brings him into mistletoe range. Which means, Charlie, that you're getting a nice firm kiss from a man you've never met. Don't worry, he's just as surprised as you are. ]

[That seems to be happening a lot, lately. As is her kissing back. Which she does. Still just as big a surprise as the many other kisses were. And didn't she speak to this man a few days ago?] Wow. Uh...hello.

[ And now he's laughing. ] Should have figured. This is a curse, innit? And we just got caught in the middle. [ Apparently that's pretty funny. ]

[She grins, nodding once.]

One of the City's better curses, yeah. At least you're being good-natured about it. I've seen people react pretty negatively.

To a kiss? Maybe if it were a national punching holiday or something. But this is pretty harmless, I should think.

And we've even met! You're Charlie, right? Told me that Rose was here.

[ He shoves his hands in his pockets and doesn't mention that he's staying because he hasn't figured out to leave yet, although one could probably guess. ]

Good to hear. Rose is a friend of mine so I was happy to hear someone she knew was here. [She tilts her head slightly.] Would it be dumb of me to ask what a TARDIS is?
