Wow. It is NICE OUTSIDE. Oh, Sunshine. I missed you so much.
Spring is here, and that means summer can't be far off! We're busy planning our trip to a family reunion in Oregon this July, and it inspired to post some photos of our last major road trip, to California, five years ago.
Oh, and these pictures all feature Beaker, from The Muppet Show. Why ask why?
Heading out...this is posed BTW. We didn't really let Beaker drive the RV.
Beaker at the Grand Canyon--this was my first time seeing the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely breathtaking.
The Hoover Dam. This is a huge structure, impressive both for the natural setting, with mountains and rivers, and the man made achievement of the huge dam itself. None of which you can see from this photo, lol. Here's more Beaker, though.
I think Beaker's perpetual look of terror is particularly suited to this Las Vegas picture. The day after this photo was taken we got married at one of the Las Vegas chapels, but inexplicably failed to include Beaker in the wedding photos.
Beaker makes quite the beach bum, eh? This is the Pacific Ocean at Carlsbad, CA. It looks really good right to me right now...sigh
You can't really tell, but this was taken at Disneyland. That's my hubby with the sunglasses and the baseball cap and the man purse camera case.
Back to the RV for the drive back home. The Badlands National Park was not as interesting as it should have been. We were all getting a bit read weary at this point.
Almost home! Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills, South Dakota,
Here's the kids, looking touristy,
L-R that's Alex, Connie (in the red jacket), Hannah, Beaker, Sami and Natalie.
So, Pacific Northwesterners, what are the must see stops we should be planning?
