Left work early with a migraine. My throat and neck are in pain. Lied down for a bit then watched Gregory's Girl. It's been years since I've seen it. The DVD had the Scottish or English dialogue options, and I could have watched the Scottish dialogue with subtitles. It's a very fine teen comedy, so far beyond Napoleon Dynamite in quirkiness. The relationship between Gregory and his sister is so damn wise and touching. Bill Forsyth made Local Hero after this, then Comfort and Joy, Housekeeping and a couple of horrible films; including an ill advised sequel to Gregory's Girl called Gregory's Two Girls - that film has never turned up over here. Forsyth has done nothing of note since 1999.
