Sicko

A bit late the the party, but I just got around to watching it. To say the least, I'm outraged in so many different directions. At the insurance companies for starters, and for seconds and thirds. Sure, we all want to make a profit but paying the CEO's eight figure salaries just so they can deny claims to cancer paitents? Yes, what have we become?

Then there is the politicans who will not change the system because the insurance companies have paid for them. It's an ugly situation and it's going to be so very hard to break it.

Why even get into the sections on the Canadian, British and French systems? Ok, they're going broke taking care of their citizens. But we're going broke too, blowing people up. If you can pay to kill people, you can pay to help them. The first third of the film, about how the insurance companies are screwing people who pay their premiums then get coverage denied and their policy pulled because of a yeast infection, seemed to me to be neglected - and will continue to be.

Let's watch our media keep talking about Britney Spears, and the writers strike, and the repentance of Pamela Smart's hitman.

death to america, we're all gonna die, film 2008
