Rubik a/k/a Meaningless babbling

I got a Rubik's Cube for my birthday, after watching The Pursuit of Happyness a few weeks ago. I just mixed it up today, because I liked seeing it all perfect, and I can't remember how to solve it. Granted, it was 25-ish years ago the last time I had one. There's a lot of things I don't remember from that far back

I've got the book. I can do the two two rows, but when it gets down to the final three cubes, the book says "try these randomly and see what happens". That's not good enough for me!

I remember there were books upon books about how to solve that thing! I remember all of the knock offs, too, like the ones with fruits on it. My friend and I popped all of the squares off and that's how we solved it.
