I remember playing the first Duke Nukem game in 1991... I loved playing the 3D one in 1996... and I HAVE been waiting (sort of) for the latest one since it was announced in 1997..
It's 2009. At this point, it's probably the greatest joke ever played on the videogame world... ever.
I would LOVE to see this game come out still... It would be the funniest thing... ever.
I mean, Half Life 1 and 2 were considered vaporware... So was Team Fortress 2 (announced in 1998, released in 2007)... and look how those turned out.
My expectations for DNF are not THAT high, but I'd still like to see it.
I mean, it can't be as bad as Battlecruiser 3000AD (which was announced in 1992 and didn't ship until 1996... and then wasn't actually playable until a patch in 1998...)
Strangely, Take Two Interactive were involved in both BC3K and DNF...
