Took Josh to a counselor, actually we met with her before she met with him and after answering a long list of questions, she tells us that she is pretty sure that he has R.A.D. - Reactive Attachment Disorder. God, this little boy has a neverending list of issues leftover from his lovely mother!... And I honestly don't know if I have what it takes

wow. im really sorry all this is happening. i wish there was something i can do to help. could tell me more about this R.A.D.? is that why he always wants to be so ... close to the cousins? like he is afraid to be alone? i wish everything goes well i nthe end. i love you all.

Hey kiddo, thanks for the comment. With RAD, they tend to get very attached, albeit inappropriately, with strangers(which you guys slightly are). They lie & steal with no remorse, are angry or depressed, has trouble keeping friends among other symptoms. These are they symptoms he currently has. As far as treatment, we will find out tomorrow(Tuesday) - we have an appointment with a specialist who will tell us whether or not he has it & to what extent. Basically, how they 'get it' is that they don't attach to one of their parents when they are young, their needs don't get met or they have very bad colic, & it causes a sort of rage that they can't control. They learn from very young that all adults can't be trusted & can't connect with anyone. Their relationships are all superficial & as soon as that person gets too close, they subconsciously sabotage it. If you google it, it'll tell you even more info. Well, I hope school is going great!! How did I know that you'd already know about myspace...? LOL I'm just a little behind - Gloria had told me about it & we send each other messages that way so she won't have to text me as much!! And, as always, it's a place to vent!! And God knows I have quite a bit to vent about lately... Well, talk to you later doll!!! Big hugs!! ;)
