a U.S. internacionalista killed by U.S. sponsored contras.
In the town of San Jose de Bocay where he was killed there's now a neighbourhood called Barrio Ben Linder.
Ha, and tomorrow I go to seaport Corinto which was destroyed, also by the U.S

I was in Nicaragua for the 2001 election and was pretty outraged at how US interests were meddling... already in the name of the war on terror, not two months after it was "declared".

I was pretty excited about the news about this recent election, though its pretty unclear to me what it will really mean. I'm actually going to a talk at school about that tomorrow.

btw US enbassy was the only not to recognize the election as clear,
but since they had nothing to say they just mentioned vaguely "some irrugularities"
should go to Florida with this :/
