Went to AC for a day because Laura had off for 2 days in a row. I got an email from Caesars which just made me look to see if I could get comped for a room. I apparently could have gotten almost any room in Caesars, Bally's, and Showboat, but on the deluxe room at Harrah's. At Caesars I was offered up to the Luxury room (the order of rooms goes Deluxe then Luxury then Premium). I signed up for the Luxury room there because I never stayed at Caesars. When I got there they upgraded me to the Premium anyway so good times.
I pretty much just used comp dollars for the entire trip and ate and drank on the house. I barely gambled. I might have lost a total of $50 for the trip. My biggest complaint is that a lot of the food places close insanely early. Most restaurants were closed by 8pm including the buffets. We wound up doing dinner at the noodle place in Caesars which was pretty good. We did the buffet for lunch which was mediocre. Harrah's is definitely better in the food department. I think Bally's is better also.
While we were there we talked about things to do for V-day, and I wound up booking another free room . . . I think at showboat. I'm just hoping that I can still get a free room around Con time.
