My performance tonite
Hello!
Tonight I will be performing at Red Hots Burlesque, doors open at 7 p.m..
It is happy hour too, free food and cheap drinks!
I am really excited that my friends are coming from long and far away to be there: Shelbie and a friend from Modesto, Lori and Jacob from Las Vegas. I am really excited by the fact that my dearest friends are treking so far to catch the act. I am kinda shy about the pasties/boobie thing but I know that is pretty dumb. After all this one of my better attributes and everyone has these nervous fears. A couple other folks may be coming out if they get back to the city in time, so I am happy to actually have a draw for my first Burlesque performance there. I was about to say my first perfomance but that is actually wrong. I have performed there, playing flute as a live back up band for Shadowcirus and Miss Bella Trixx performance there a couple times, but not as a Burlesque performer.
I am excited by my choice of music and costume. I've been broke so I went with an earlier idea which I already had the means to make the costume.
I showed the finished costume to my friend Lori (who I tattooed on weds. so if anyone can make it, you can see a live model wearing my tattoo work) and being an incredible seamstress, I was stoked that she liked it. She is planning on moving out here this coming year and i am so excited to have one of my best friends back. She is a great performer as well having been on the cast of Rocky Horror since I met her in 1987! She is currently in the Las Vegas cast. She , like me , has a attention to detail on costuming that is into period perfect and I appreciate that. She is a Ren faire participant so she can spot the wrong corset from a mile away. I don't feel so bad being so obsessive!
She told me that she can give me sewing lessons too.

My parents are coming out this weekend too. My dad will be so stoked that I am using the stuff he gave me to perform in. He gifted me with a gold lame cape and Egyptian collar necklace. I am so lucky my parents support me in everything I do. I am lucky to have both of them. I know that this is highly unusual.
