sick. (long post warning)

Jul 14, 2008 13:59

Ah man sick.Dear coworker, sorry for waking you up this morning,on your day off! I hope you fell back to sleep ok. Other co worker that came to cover, your the best, thank you so much.

it was so cool to hang out with my buddy M. yesterday. It seems like forever since i have seen her, so busy we are. she has a lovely back yard and got to hang out with friends. it's really nice that our friend PJ was there too and they told me funny stories of "before I knew you, I thought you were.." !!! No that my humanity has been established and I can hug her and tattoo her skin, she has become one of my favourite clients. buttery skin aside, which is awesome to tattoo, she goes to conventions where she shows off said tattoos to famous horror actors and directors which is intimidating to say the least! Robert Rodriguez checked out her "Deathproof" tattoo and the fellow from Devil's Rejects admired my copy of his chest movie tattoo on Pj's arm. She sends me the coolest picks of the twins from "Planet Terror" kissing her tattoos. We have a Captain Spaulding full colour portrait in the works.

I rescheduled my bluegrass band practice because of the illness. I sure hope to feel better for tomorrow's shift. I will force myself to go as I did today. I walked a lot of the way home, not liking be crammed in the bus when I'm not feeling well. I have been on a tear lately, easily irritated by thoughtless people.I told off some gangster kids in El Toro on Friday when they mentioned that because I asked for personal space to pay for my food, they said that's what would get my purse snatched. I immediately countered with "what did you say?" he told me he apologized. I am sick and tired of no manners. The Mission is wearing thin on me and I am getting to not like being there when I am not working. The Ile is one thing but the hipster quotant is really getting on my nerves.

I have been accepted as an offical investigator for the San Franscico Ghost Society. I havenever been nuch of a joiner but I am happy to find a couple things I like support and be a member of. This, I feel, will balance out my fear of joining things and relish in the fact that you can share geeky things with other geeks. This way preconcieved notions such as PJ's above won't happen so much. (she is a fan of my old band which was popular amougst riot girls and the GLBT community, her fave show being us and Tribe 8 and I am very honoured she thinks so)

I am performing some Burlesque coming up and just complete a bio for Red Hots Burlesque (Hi Dots) where I give a shout out to my inpiration for starting up again (Miss Bella Trixx)

Here'sfor what it is worth and honestly probably not well written but works:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marie La Faux is the secret identity, alter-ego of a local San Franciscan native. Under different guises she has performed as the singer in a rawk band , a punk band, a Bluegrass band, a sick and twisted puppet show and lends her voice to electronic dance projects.

She used to shake her money maker as a Large and Lovely Go Go dancer at “Stinky’s Peep Show” and has done so with bands like “Me First & the Gimme Gimme’s” at The Great American Music Hall, as well as venues such as the Fillmore and Slim’s for the SF Weekly. She is known to put very hot burning things in her mouth and demonstrate the Theremin at sexy party Kinky Salon with her award winning tata’s.

Miss La Faux’s photos on flyers has earned her the moniker of “the Sturdier Dita” and has appeared as a model in “Fetish Fashion-Undressing the Corset” and “Women on Top- Iron Fist, Velvet Glove” both by re-known photographer Larry Utley. Charles Gatewood has her pic. Next to Buddha on his fridge and has featured her in the tattoo magazine Skin & Ink, along with Dale Rio’s photographs of this Voluptuous Vixen modeling latex for Madame S. and Stormy Leather Corsets (which she has all done runway modeling for as well!)

Her hi-jinks with fellow model/Burlesque/Singer Miss Eva Von Slut has resulted in photos in international magazines Marquis Fetish magazine and Italian Tattoo mags.

She has also been photographed and featured in mainstream magazines Playboy and Blender, playing guitar at the Fillmore with 49 other naked people for charity.

Miss La Faux has also been featured in music video for bands Venus Bleeding, Crosstops, the Load Levelers and Evan Cowden (which was voted #1 on MTV’s Logo channel) and in the movie documentary “24 hours on Craigslist”.

Miss La Faux often worked more in supporting her fellow tassel twirlers then bumping on stage: she was “Just the Card Girl” and make-up help for the Fat Bottom Review.

After a long stint away from the pasties, Miss La Faux dusted them off to perform for Miss Bella Trixx’s show “Dirty Trixx” -inspired by the New York native to perform Burlesque once again.

She can be stalked at www.myspace.com/angelxstacy

My D. came up with the name, as I have always just used my own but it was so cool I had to use it. Cool! It can stand on its own.

Again Shout out if your reading Miss Bella Trixx for giving me a chance (after 7 years away from pasties!)and cramming me in last minute.

It was bittersweet to write about the Fat Bottom Review as my dear friend and roomate Sunny who passed found her passion and body self acceptance there to become an activist by just simply being fabulous.
And while I am naming my inpirations I would like to add Miss Jukie Sunshine for not only being awesome but a fabulous talented goddess as well. I just saw the book she and Miss Deameor (Heather Mc Allister) were in , done my Lenord Nemoy. They have helped to spearhead fat acceptance her in the bay area.See her in the Diamond Daggers!

In this guise I will be dancing at Red Hots Burlesque on Aug. 22nd and at the "Witches Brew" benefit at the El Rio on Nov. 15th. I be singing with T&A as well that day about 4 p.m. It will feature Tarot card readings vendors and one of my fave band "5 Cent Coffee" If you haven't seen them , I highly suggest them. Google or look themup on mySpace.

I am having an opening for an art show at Good Vibrations on Polk St. with my fellow GV'ers. I never thought I would get to have so much exposure for my art as GV has allowed. This will be about the 30 or 31 of the month , I'll update with the actual date.

Speaking of I am going to work on my artwork. A quiet day alone and a night free rarely , if ever happens.

diamond daggers, sf ghost society, red hots burlesque, good vibrations employee art show, burlesque
