Peculiar affinities...

Now, there are a lot of stray cats living in the area. As I walked home from Natalie's last night, I noticed a sound behind me. I turned, and there was an absolutely ADORABLE black kitten following me. I stopped, he stopped. I took a step forward, never taking my eyes off the kitty, and he took a step also and stopped again, when I stopped. We proceeded all the way to my apartment door. I perched at the top of the steps and made a "come here cute little animal" noise, and it was as if he was just WAITING for the cue. He bounded exictedly up the steps, almost tripping, and started mewing and purring in my lap. Then I saw something at the bottom of the steps-- another cat! This one a little bit bigger, an orange tabby. She, too, climbed the steps and proceeded to nuzzle my arms and legs. At this point, I'm freaking overjoyed and having the most spaztically elated time, when, I shit you not, I look down the stairs and ANOTHER set of big beaming eyes are gazing up at me. "Come on, little one! Come on up!" I encouraged with a smile.
And she, a grey and white female with a small frame, bounded up the steps. Before I knew it, I was enveloped in mewing and purring and nuzzling and I was almost brought to tears with how freaking ADORABLE IT WAS. I stood up, and they marched loyally alongside me, and trotted comfortably into the apartment, and into my room with me. I locked the door and spent the night curled up with 3 kittahz. I've never been so happy in my life!!!!
