Happy Birthday Dad!!!
ok get this..... every thursday me and my dad go play poker at CJs... and this thursday happened to be the night before my dads bday. all night my dad was getting crappy cards and not doing very well and was almost out. So we are playing and just as midnight rolls around, i happen to be the dealer... so i deal the cards, look at my phone realize its midnight, and leaned over to my dad (who was sitting next to me) "Happy Birthday" he kinda looked at me funny and said thank you... so they play the hand out and he wins a fairly large pot, with the pocket queens that i dealt him!! thats why he looked at me funny cuz he thought i did it on purpose... well since that hand his luck dramatically changed... i went out 4th... (agian) and he made it to the final 2, (again) but things weren't looking good when he was forced all in on the blinds... but luck was on his side and he rallied back to claim his first tourny win!!! and it all started with the pocket queens that I dealt him!!!
and whats funnier is earlier in the night i thought about that very situation, but didn't think it would really happen, i figure if i don't have money to by him a gift the least i can do is deal him a winning hand or 2... well 200 dollars and a little trophy later, i was able to get my dad a birthday present after all....
