[nothing is permanent, even a negative change can over time grow into something positive, even if you think you are destroying yourself, volcanic ash is more fertile than anything, at one point you were not as strong as you are now, and you still grew to be so. Which must mean, with this knowledge and your current strength, whatever you lose, you can find again ten fold]

but in this situation, you dont really have a chance to say "what do i do now?"
time is not on your side, at least not the time involved with the decision you have to make. its flying by, and if you dont you cant, so if you need to. you do. and in the end, your life and your time, is on your side.
