Random Stuff on a Sunday Evening

My fantasy football team is kicking ass--I will get close to the highest score this week.  I'm tied for a game behind the top spot of my division, so if I can keep up my winning streak, I should make the playoffs.  Also My Beloved Green Bay Packers are undefeated.

I ran four and a quarter miles today and felt really good.  I did four miles yesterday.  This makes me very happy, because last week I did three and a half, then three and a half the next day, then four.  Toward the end of the third day my left leg was sore and weak feeling, which is how I woke up the following day.  Didn't run that day, but I did walk six miles (two and a half slow, three and half moderate pace).  So I'm glad that my leg felt good during and after the run today.  Not sure about tomorrow.  I don't necessarily see any reason to take the day off running, but I think I'll either stick with the same distance or dial down to four.  The literal last thing I want to have happen is to push too hard and end up injured.  Gradual is key.  Tuesday I will definitely take off and do Pilates and extra stretching.

I keep forgetting about laundry dammit.  Good thing I'm on the last load.

Tomorrow is the last day of Stuart's mushy food restricted diet.  Tuesday I think I'll make enchiladas or something he'll really enjoy.  It just can't be crunchy.  It has to be good though--he's going to court for a speeding ticket I got a couple weeks ago.  Unfortunately (for me) they aren't letting people amend speeding in a school zone (I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS A SCHOOL ZONE URGHHHH I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THE STUPID BLINKING LIGHT) to defective equipment anymore, so I'm probably looking at a fine and traffic school.  But he's a good person for trying.  And I'm a shitty person for falling into what is apparently a famous speed trap.

Anyway, back to food.  Tonight we had yummy dinner.  There is a grocery nearby that is not Kroger and they sell really delicious crab cakes for a buck apiece.  $6 and a few $ on a minty cous-cous/wild rice salad--fabulous dinner for three for under $10.  I made chipotle pepper-sour cream-mayo goo for the crab cakes.  So good.

While running the past three times, I've watched A Game of Thrones.  My reaction is pretty much like I figured it would be--I don't like most of the casting choices, don't like most of the characterizations, the sets are okay.  It's a decent adaptation, but the books are a million times better.  I'm so glad I read them twice before watching the series.

That's all for now folks.  Walking Dead is on soon and I've gotta throw some clothes in the dryer.

exercise, football, food, i'm on a roll!, family, yay, zombies, my husband is awesome, fantasy football, asoiaf, television
