[The video starts with Kefka sobbing as he rocks something in his arms. Upon closer inspection, a mane of emerald hair can be seen as he moves.]

I... I was too late... I tried... I tried to save her... I was too late....

Why would she need saving from a friend?

Because that friend just killed her...

No, unfortunately... He was too clever... it was only chance that I sensed the magical flux... but by then, it was too late...

The magical flux from what?

From Terra... her father was a being of pure magic... she shares a good deal of his nature, and as such, strong emotions on her part can cause a magical flux.

Oooooookay. And this can be felt from... how far?

chaoticelement October 19 2009, 04:46:47 UTC
Depending on the intensity of the emotion, a good mile or so.

Pretty big magical field, there.

Considering she's genetically half-magic? Yea, it can get pretty massive.

Technically speaking magic isn't a gene. Although I suppose the predisposition for magic could be passed on genetically.

In this situation, it quite literally is a gene. Espers, like Terra's father, were created by the goddesses of magic in my world, and were genetically magical. It's complicated, but the genetics involved are not even remotely like any kind of life form there is.

It is indeed a fascinating phenomenon... perhaps we could discuss it more at length at a later date... but, for now, there are other things that require my attention...
