Familiar, like my mirror years ago
Hey, LJ. Long time, no update. ...or log-in. You know it's bad because I've been re-reading entire old fandoms and when I get to fics on livejournal, it's all WELCOME, LEARN ABOUT US, and buddy. We've met.
Anyway, I was poking through my own journal to find something and decided I wanted to lock down some stuff and realized...I couldn't remember my damn password. So this whole evening turned into a version of "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie..." but more "If You Give a Clev LJ access...she's going to want to tidy up everything in it."
Ugh, seriously, it's been so long that my happy lists I dated to be 2nd and 3rd entries on my journal have not only past that ~future date~ but that would have been a year ago. Dang.
Since I was last here:
♠ I graduated college...over a year ago now. Be glad you missed the constant angst over not having a job or an idea what to do with my future-- twitter got enough of that, I assure you.
♠ I went to Vegas? also over a year ago now. But my sister and I walked around literally all night and had some fun for that part even though my feet were fucked up so I seriously had to be drunk to keep walking. I am a great drunk navigator, though!
♠ I got a job. And then a different job. and now I'm on a third job! It was a progression from crappy part time jobs to full time jobs as a contractor to HEY someone actually wants to employ me full time actually with their organization so you know. benefits. Eventually earning enough money to be able to live not with my parents! baby steps.
♠ I quit hockey fandom for a year, but not hockey. Though at this point, I'm almost more willing to quit hockey and not fandom (just kidding, I'm just still BITTER ABOUT SO MANY THINGS. SO MANY. Almost everyone is dead to me)
♠ I have clearly matured zero percent, given that my lj posting writing habits are basically exactly the same.
♠ Otherwise, THE STATE OF FANDOM:
I don't even know, dudes. Haven't been feeling basically anything new that's come along as a big fandom point of interest for...years. I kind of miss it, but I'm also pretty sure 2013, teen wolf, hockey, and then the MCU just ran me facefirst into some kind of turning point. Fandom still seems mostly the same, but not me. Which clearly contributes to the rereading stints that brought me back to you!
I dunno, shouting into the void here I guess, but sometimes it shouts back.
