In a suprising twist, Britney was not nominated for this years "Video Music Awards", this is the first time in her career that she has not been nominated for a VMA

As much as I love Britney, I have to say ... she doesn't deserve a VMA nomination this year *shrugs*

Someday was lame in my opinion. It was ok, but not VMA worthy.

I absolutely adore Do Somethin, but again, not VMA material.

How well did these songs fare in radio play? These are all things that go into determining whether they are going to be nominated. If they don't do well on radio they aren't going anywhere, and the videos aren't going to get played. How well did they do on TRL? How often were they in the MTV rotation? These are everything you have to ask yourself before you run around crying fowl over something like this. These are the VMAs. They aren't the Grammys. The VMAs are suppose to be a FUN award show.
