The Bento Mistress inside me

So like I went to Mayflower for Dim sum today with some of my relatives and after lunch, we decided to walk it off (obviously because all that shrimp and no vegetables can do HORRENDOUS things to the body) by walking around the plaza. We entered this one store that seems to be packed to the brink. It was slightly claustrophobic, especially towards the back and the incense was making my head hurt along with the slight claustrophobia that I had.

So anyways, as I was exploring the store, (while my aunts were looking for stuff, whatever they really bought), I found some really NIFTY items. There were an assortment of chopsticks of all different sizes and they look awesome. They also had a lot of bento items, like the onigiri pressers, lunch boxes in various different colors and types and cookie cutters for the vegetables.

It was bento haven after you spend enough time in there. After awhile, the MIXTURE of all the different types of incense mellows out and your head doesn't hurt anymore. Interesting, right? Just don't stay around in the upper left corner too long, or I'm afraid there's a possibility you can pass out. It's not ONE of the incense that can hurt you. It's the COMBINATION of ALL THE INCENSE.

It was a quaint little store, stocked with a lot of things. It would be a GREAT place to go for your stocking up on cooking items as well as home decor as well.

The old man that sat on the counter looked sad though and slightly bored. I wonder if he really enjoys his job. Either that or if he was having a bad day. Oh well, from the looks of it, it seems to be a family owned business.

The only advice I have is.. Be careful. It's a lot of stuff in one store and it's really crammed together and it wouldn't be hard to break something and their motto is "if you break it, you buy it." I wouldn't recommend it for the awfully clumsy person.

On the other hand, I found a lot of typos. One that particular caught my eye was "key CHANGE." I think they really meant key "CHAIN." It was an LOL moment.

bento, mayflower, food, eat
