The boredom of Summer?
I finished Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress. It was partially entertaining and partially gross. I guess I would never be able to escape the gross factor after reading Life of Pi. It was nothing extreme... oh, just ox blood and a sadist who uses a sewing machine to drills someone's teeth.
How they manage to do that still blows my mind. Slightly disturbing too. =_____=;;
Reading wasn't the hard part. The dialectical journal is the hard part. I swear, these things take forever. Just ask anybody who took Warren with me. Oh god, it took ages to finish the Huckleberry Finn one and I TYPED the whole thing and it was still I think 16 pages front and back with miniature fonts. ^^;;
On the other hand, I did go out for the past month or so (that I haven't updated. xDD What can I say? I'm lazy). I went to the beach for fireworks. Whoo~ Although by the time I got back, my hair smelled like the smoke and I got slightly carsick from the twists and turns, it was awesome. I got something out of it though, a two hour firework show. ;DD
However, it was BLOODY freezing in Santa Cruz. Honestly, it was crazy hot on Wednesday in San Jose, but once we go to Santa Cruz, I was freezing my butt off and the windbreaker did not save me at all. The firework show ended around 10-ish and by the time my cousin's boyfriend drove me home, it was like 11. xDDD
On the other hand, I'm catching up on my Manga and Anime. For those that haven't been caught up with xxxholic or bleach, I say AVOID THIS SECTION OR APPROACH WITH CAUTION. I don't want to end up spoiling for those who only watch the manga. xDD So anyways, RUKIA DIED? LIKE OMFG. I can't believe that. Sure, she got impaled by that one dude or Kaien's clone, but Rukia is like ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS. You can't just KILL her off like that.
That and I don't like the whole Orihime plotline. >>;; It's like with Sakura from Naruto. They give her crappy powers to begin with and all of the sudden, she has a power upgrade and her existence is more important than it should be. Either that or they're dragging the manga way too long. I found the 'Rescue Rukia' arc interesting because hey, we got to know all the Captains and Vice Captains and their backstory, but this arc. It bores me and irritates me. If Rukia really dies, I swear I'm going to stop reading the series. >>;; Because with Rukia gone, ORIHIME IS GOING TO TAKE ICHIGO. YOU HEAR ME. [/coughoverreactingcough] Maybe they'll do a 'Gaara' thing and somehow resurrect her? Unless Rukia is in some serious condition and is going to be staying in a coma for a long time. That'll still piss me off though. >>;; [/rants]
That and stop with the fillers already.
Off to do my Dialetical Journal... Or I could Veoh, Youtube, Crunchyroll, search instead. ^^;;
