last weekend was fun.
Friday evening I met with my D&D group. We finally found the druid we were searching. But now we have to search for the key to a portal that doesn't exist anymore. We are forced by a spell to search, otherwise a curse will hit us for every day we won't search. Blame the mage who had the idea about the key first!
Saturday I installed ethernet cables in our flat. In the afternoon I met with Holger for much cuddling, talking and fun. We went to an ice cafe with huge protions. We had a "fruit bowl", much fruit and much ice and delicious. but we didn't succeed and couldn't eat all of it. That portion was designed for one person, or so the menu said. :-)
Sunday I finished the installation of the cables. I had to crimp the cables because we had to pull them through the door frames and that is not working when the clip is already attaced to the cable.
I managed to do that all alone. found a instruction on the internet and then just tried it. and succeeded at first try. one clip was faulty and I had to cut it off and redo it, but apart from that, no problem.
I need to go back to some friends the next days and bring them their crimping equipment, which I just borrowed.
Now all we need for broadband internet is the Telekom. They need to enable our phone number for DSL. then we can plug in the DSL splitter and the router (with modem included) and can surf faster than befor and everyone in the flat can surf at the same time.
I need to buy myself a little hub or switch. I have one cable going to my room but two computers wanting to go online. but that can wait a bit, one of the two is not important.
Next friday we will meet again for DSA. Let's see if we finish the adventure then. We startet the "short" adventure in (late) March, and aren't finished 5 months later. to be honest, we also had five meetings.
