It started snowing again last night. This morning, everything was covered in white and there was still a wind in the air that blows tiny snow crystals into the face of everyone walking around.
Of course (:-/) there was a problem with the S-Bahn. A problem on a switch on the tracks. At first it says "we'll stop at the next station and you can take a bus from there". There should be a bus bringing everyone to the stations where the S-Bahn doesn't go. Then it says the problem is fixed enough, we ca go on in the S-Bahn. In the end, we drove through a few stations without stopping and the train ended at a station where I can change easily into the Bus. If the Bus came... I waited 25 minutes until one Bus of the right line and direction came by. In the meantime there were several busses of every other bus line that stops at that station and even two buses of the right line but wrong direction. After the bus finally arrived it tested my patience a bit more. Because all the streets were full with snow the bus (and all other cars) could only drive slowly. It took us half an hour to get to the station where I got off the bus. The schedule says the trip is 17 minutes long.
So I arrived about 35 minutes late and with freezing toes at work.
In the evening the switch was repaired and I got home without problems.
Let's see how it will be tomorrow. It snowed the whole day today. And it didn't seem like it wanted to stop when I went outside the last time.
Tomorrow evening I'll meet
anjil. We'll go eat something nice, chat and later go to my medieval dancing class.
I hope I can get home after that. If the situation at the S-Bahn looks too bad, I can stay at my parents for the night. My parents live in Munich (quite central) and I just need the tube to get to them. That will work for sure.
I hope even more that the Tram will work tomorrow evening as it is the onyl way we can get to the class (we don't have a car).
Update the next morning: It seems that it snowed a good part of the night and was still snowing this morning. But the wind has slowed down and the snow flakes are getting bigger and more like flakes than like crystals.
End update.
