After the last entry I had to make an entry with happy things.
Last saturday I was at a Tabletop Event, playing a tournament of my favorite tabletop, Confrontation, and won the tournament!
It was a "mini" tournament, with armies half the szie of the usual tournament armies. And it was small, because there were only four players. Me, playing the game for about a year now, another player with some experience, one player of whon I don't know how much experience he has and one totally new player.
The tournament had three rounds where we could collect victory points and "kill points" (for slain miniatures of the opponent).
I rolled very good on nearly every die roll, one of the other players rolled rather bad.
I calculated my chances for the second place were very good and thought about what to do with the second place.
The ranking was a bit different in the end. The player who rolled bad was the last place and got a small price because of that. He was very happy with his price. The new player was totally happy that he wasn't the last (as he expected). The second and first place nearly were a tie. The other player had more kill points, but I had one victory point more than him. Yay!
So I got the first price, a painting set for the miniatures. I got "only" a gift certificate for it, and will get the "real" painting set when it arrives at the organizer of the tournament.
This Saturday I'll meet a person from an onine Forum who currently lives in Munich. She seems very nice and I'm looking forward to meet her. She's a Discowrld fan like me, we met in the forum of the german Discworld fan club.
