Finally, it's done. The experiments' duration... hasn't been so long before. I don't trust this alteration in their patterns.

I don't trust this alteration, and I don't like what it might be heralding.

We should remain wary. Their cycle for selecting New Feathers changed... so it's possible the experiments may have as well.

[And not for the better.]

I've heard about how this place was supposed to be all patterns and cycles. But so far, I haven't seen very much of that.

Most of their usual patterns have been broken in some manner. Especially lately. They also aren't known to repeat experiments, but... the latest experiment included several that occurred in the past.

I thought they had repeated some experiments in the past. Just not that often.

[Yes, he was reminded of the Valentine's Day one for instance, and he inwardly cringes.]

Not all at once.

Perhaps it was more efficient for them - a way to collect a great deal of data all at once.

I wouldn't put it past them. [Vincent has an even angrier edge to his tone with the rest of this, since... this is very much one of his major issues.] They'll do anything in pursuit of their goals, no matter how damaging the effects on their subjects.

This shouldn't be news to us.

After Halloween especially, this shouldn't be news.

And yet, they've topped themselves. Just because we can't be permanently damaged, we are essentially disposable. No matter the cost.

The frequency with which they disrupt our lives proves as much.

...Still, even after this... worse can always happen.

You're right, of course.

I really need to start remembering as much. Just because it's hard to imagine doesn't meant that they can't do it.

It takes a long time to adjust to such a fate... and even then there are times when the unbelievable happens.

Like this? Like Halloween? Or the infiltration?

Any deviations like this time, or that infiltration... [Although it does seem like more and more of these things are happening lately.]
